No update in long time...sorry...quite busy..now working as research asisstant (R.A) for my potential phD project ^_*
I will share with you about my viva prep..my viva was held on 15th June 2015
U can see below..how much time they need to process this things...
The required time for examiner report = around 1+ month after thesis submit
The required time for viva = around 2+ months after thesis submit
Time for SGS to call up viva = around 1 week before the date
Submit form GS15a- 30th Mac 2015
then, my viva on 15th June 2015...
which I actually postpone the date...the actual date would be on 1st June, but at that time, I'm not around here..so i asked SGS to postpone it.
Luckily, it went well..although they are several confusion (they confuse doing it on morning or noon) bcuz in the offer later said at morning, but my examiner got excuses on the morning, thus we exchange to noon on the same date.
*dont hesitate to call person in charge (SGS) for your faculty..click link
*make sure everything is all right, confirm with them the date and time
and most important!!!!

*you can jot down your notes on your copy of thesis (bring this on your viva day)

ReplyDeletea) it has already been 2 months 2 weeks and only the internal examiner's report has been given to SGS...another 2 weeks and it will be 3 months totally. Is it normal to have the VIVA after the 3months period or is it always within the 3 months?..
b) You mentioned that SGS will contact the student one week before the Viva date?..what about our portal?...will the date only be updated a week before the Viva?

ReplyDeletea) usually itll be within 3months..several of my friends also getting their viva late than that..with some nonsense reason..one of my friends viva was delay bcoz the external doesnt even receive the thesis..another one, external has been delaying checking her thesis due to busy schedule
Please follow up with the person in charge..do ask help from your sv too..theyll only (sgs) take action when we hv support from sv ^_*
b)i dont know now..bcoz revently the sgs system change a bit due to dean changes..my roomate know her viva date about a month before..her viva will be next week..i think its depends on the sgs pic also ..each faculty have diffrnt pic for settling the viva thingy..keep praying ull meet with good sgs people 😅
